The FC-50 is a range extender for RS-232 signals. The unit accepts an RS-232 signal which is converted to a twisted pair signal and sent to a second FC-50 which converts the twisted pair back into an RS-232 signal.
o Ports - 1 RS-232 (9-pin D-sub) and 1 CAT 5 (RJ-45).
o 2 Units Are Required.
o Mode Selection - Select whether the 9-pin D-sub is connected to a PC or the device being controlled by the PC. (Two units are required).
o 9-pin D-sub Mode LED Indicator - Red for device and green for PC.
o System Range - Up to 1000m (3280ft).
o Cable - UTP (unshielded twisted pair) or STP (shielded twisted pair) such as CAT 5.
o Crossed/Straight Selection - Between the unit and the controlled device.
o Power Connect™ System - A single connection to the transmitter or the receiver powers both units when the devices are within 150ft (50m) of each other.
o Compact MultiTOOLS® - 4 units can be rack mounted side-by-side in a 1U rack space with the optional RK-1 universal rack adapter.
